Google Changes YouTube Promoted Videos Prices

Video marketing is a powerful way for businesses to reach out to their customers online. Sites such as YouTube have provided vloggers with the opportunity to make some money from ads too. If you are just getting started on YouTube and do not have a huge following, it never hurts to invest some money to promote your videos. Promoted videos show up on the top of YouTube as people search for keywords. Till now, Promoted Videos were priced on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis Google is now planning to change that starting today.

Promoted Videos will now be priced on cost-per-view basis. This should be good news for those who have not success getting people to actually view their video ads in the past. Now you will be charged everytime someone watches your video. Google made the announcement on its blog: (more…)

Google To Display URL In Ads

Google is always making changes to the way ads are displayed to help its partners gather more leads and of course make more money in the process. When you create an ad using Google Adwords, your URL usually shows up at the bottom. A lot of folks may miss that. Google has just started adding your display URL domain to your headlines too.

Google To Offer More Accurate Adwords Traffic Estimates

Those of you who have been using Google Adwords to drive traffic to your business know that it does not exactly provide you with the most accurate traffic estimates for your keywords. Many advertisers would love to get more accurate information from their ad serving partners to better optimize their campaigns. Google has now updated its algorithm to offer more quality information to advertisers:

You can find keyword traffic estimates in a number of places across AdWords including the Traffic Estimator, the Keyword Tool, and on the Keywords tab… One of the most common uses of traffic estimates is to evaluate potential keywords and decide whether you should add them to your account. Traffic estimates are also useful in determining if your bids and budgets are appropriate for these new keywords. (more…)

Google Panda Provides More Encouragement for PPC?

Unless you have not been paying attention to the world of search engines, you have already felt Google Panda’s effects on your website. Many webmasters have been complaining about losing rankings with Google changing the game with the Panda update. But there are folks who have been climbing the rankings as a result of that too. It all really comes down to the quality of your content.

Losing free traffic from Google can be devastating for businesses. Let’s face it. A huge drop in the rankings can affect your Adsense, affiliate, and direct ads revenue. The less impressions you get, the less your conversions will be. Some argue that Panda sends the “right type” of traffic to sites these days.
