icon1 Posted by in News on 09 28th, 2011 | No Comments

The end seems to be near for the old Google AdSense interface. The sleek, new Google AdSense some are just finding about is nothing new. But Google has not made it mandatory for everyone to use it. That is about to change though. Google has announced the end is year for the old interface. I have to admit, I am not a big fan of the new interface. But Google is not leaving us with any choice:

Over the past months, we’ve been working to improve the new AdSense interface and develop features that provide you with additional insights, control, and efficiency. Beyond the visual redesign, some of the new features only available in the new interface include multi-dimension reporting, reporting by country and platform, and search functionality in the Ad review center. icon1 Posted by in News on 09 21st, 2011 | No Comments

Google is getting serious about Google+. It has already opened the doors to the public, letting everyone join its social network. Google is planning to add +1 button to display ads in October. That means ads that get recommended by your visitors are more likely to show up to their contacts. Essentially, your visitors will get to endorse ads on your site. That could lead to more clicks. Here is how Google Ads will look like in the future:

AdWords API Developer Tokens Being Rejected?
icon1 Posted by in PPC Advertising on 09 14th, 2011 | No Comments

Many advertisers take advantage of Google Adwords API to manage their accounts (or those of their clients’) more effectively. Many have been using Adwords API for a long time without issues. But it seems developers are now having their API token rejected. Google so far as not addressed the issue. But the discussion is ongoing in Google Groups. Here is what one user had to say about this issue:

Not sure if this is google suddenly being more strict? Or a bug that’s
rejected a load of tokens.
Either way, can someone in the Google Adwords team give us some info?
as i also didn’t get an email as to why i have suddenly been rejected.

Google has been notoriously slow when it comes to addressing Adwords customers. It has been getting better but the response is not instantaneous. At this point, this does seem to be a bug. There are no indications that Google has changed its policy in regards to its API. We will know more once Google releases more information on this issue.

Have you experienced this issue?
