Google Raises Channel Limits to 500

Those who make a decent living from AdSense know the importance of using custom and URL channels to track the performance of their websites. You never know when your earnings spike or drop dramatically. You won’t be able to find out what’s happening unless you are using the right channel structure. Going used to limit the number of custom/URL channels to 200. Google has increased that limit to 500 custom channels per product and 500 URL channels for AdSense for content.

To date, you’ve been limited to a total of 200 custom and URL channels, and many of you have asked for more. That’s why today, we’re very excited to announce that we’ve raised this limit to 500 custom channels per product, and 500 URL channels for AdSense for content. (more…)

Old AdSense Interface Retires

The good old days of AdSense are truly over. The program has come a long way in the past few years. Google has finally retired the old interface, forcing every AdSense use to start using the new AdSense user. Till now, Google AdSense users could switch back and forth between the old and the new interface. The new interface is quite sleek but does scare away some small business owners.

Check Google-certified ad networks Results in AdSense

Google has been using ads from Google-certified ad networks to compete against AdSense ads for the display ad space on websites for a while now. It has announced that you will be able to check the performance of your ads from these networks. If you have chosen to display ads from competing networks in AdSense, you will now be able to check their performance.

Google Making More Changes To AdSense

Google has been doing a lot of house cleaning in the past few weeks. A few services have already been discontinued. Google is improving ads for its AdSense program too. Google has just introduced ad styles to make it easier for publishers to display the type of ads they desire on their websites.

Google Updates AdSense Link Units

Google does make small changes to its ad units from time to time. But these are not that common. Those of you who have been using link units on your website to increase your revenue are going to love the new looking link units. Google has given the landing page for these types of links a more modern look.

Google To Retire Old AdSense Interface?

The end seems to be near for the old Google AdSense interface. The sleek, new Google AdSense some are just finding about is nothing new. But Google has not made it mandatory for everyone to use it. That is about to change though. Google has announced the end is year for the old interface. I have to admit, I am not a big fan of the new interface. But Google is not leaving us with any choice:

Over the past months, we’ve been working to improve the new AdSense interface and develop features that provide you with additional insights, control, and efficiency. Beyond the visual redesign, some of the new features only available in the new interface include multi-dimension reporting, reporting by country and platform, and search functionality in the Ad review center. Google Adds +1 to Ads

Google is getting serious about Google+. It has already opened the doors to the public, letting everyone join its social network. Google is planning to add +1 button to display ads in October. That means ads that get recommended by your visitors are more likely to show up to their contacts. Essentially, your visitors will get to endorse ads on your site. That could lead to more clicks. Here is how Google Ads will look like in the future:

Google Really Wants Your Business

Let’s face it. Google is in the business of making money. Its shareholders are first and everyone else is second. That being said, the company has provided its users with all kinds of tools to help them take their businesses to the next level. Not a lot of businesses take time to get themselves familiar with what Google has to offer though. That’s where “Learn with Google” comes into play. It is a new program by Google to teach business owners how to take advantage of Google’s tools and services.

The +1 Button Gets Faster

Does Google +1 button affect your Adsense earnings? It might if you have great content that could attract a ton of +1 votes. Many webmasters have been quite nervous about how slow their sites get after adding all these social buttons to them. Google has listened and has decided to make its button faster. Most of you won’t have to make too many changes to your website to get +1 to load faster.
