Most Adsense publishers have already created mobile friendly versions of their websites to monetize their work even more effectively. Google, for its part, is now improving its reporting features, giving Adsense publishers the chance to find out where their revenue is coming from.

Google Instant: A Game Changer for PPC?
icon1 Posted by in News on 09 15th, 2010 | No Comments

Google Instant is more than just a new iteration of Google interface. Sure, it helps searchers get more help when searching for things and get results based on the keyword phrases they type. But it has some deep ramifications for pay per click search engine marketers. If you are spending a ton of money on Google Adwords, you are most likely to realize the benefits/disadvantages of this new Google.

Here are just a few ways Google Instant will change search:

  • Behavioral change is coming: people are going to find Google Instant a new, somewhat interesting experience from the get go. But the old way of searching for things is gone. Google is going to walk searchers through the search process and provide as many suggestions as possible. That could be good or bad news for your business. Only time will tell.
  • More Impressions will be served: there is no question that many large campaigns will get more impressions from the get go. It won’t be the same for everyone though. That could mean more non-targeted traffic and visitors that won’t be any good to your business. (more…)

CB Engine: Make More Money With ClickBank
icon1 Posted by in Affiliate PPC on 08 5th, 2009 | No Comments

ClickBank

ClickBank needs no introduction. It’s the home for many sellers who make a living from selling their informational products online. I have never been a fan of informational products, but one thing is certain about them. They sell well, and they don’t cost too much to maintain. You won’t need a place to store them, and the transaction is done easily over the Internet. And with Clickbank you can get a lot of affiliates to sign up and promote your products.

For affiliates, Clickbank could be tricky. Not all CB products are created equal. People behind these products come from all walks of life. Some know how to develop killer landing pages. Many have no clue how to write a newsletter. So if you are an affiliate trying to make money online from these products with pay per click, you are going to do some research to find products that convert well, don’t come with a high refund rate, and give you the best chance to make the most money in the long run.

CB Engine is a very useful Clickbank analysis service that lets you keep track of the latest developments in CB community and find products that will make you money in the long run. Not everyone’s going to make money even with the best products, but it’s good to know that others are doing it. That way you can focus more on improving your tactics and optimizing your campaigns, than worry about not converting much.

CB Engine will let you know about the products that have just been released to the market. So you can go through their landing pages and offers to find out whether they are worth a consideration. You can also keep track of the removed products and avoid promoting them. But my favorite feature by far is the mowers and shakers section. There, you can find out about products that are hot and those that are cooling down. There is no question that you’ve got to be agile about the process, but it’s good to have that information handy.

icon1 Posted by in Landing Page Tips on 04 28th, 2009 | No Comments

Web Design for ROI: Turning Browsers into Buyers & Prospects into Leads

I have talked in the past about the importance of optimizing your landing pages and websites to get the most out of your landing pages. You can spend years learning the art of working with Google Adwords. You can spend a lot of money driving traffic to your website. But if your site is not designed with your users in mind, you may as well burn your money. I hear these low conversion rate numbers from marketers everyday, and it seems people have accepted that you shouldn’t be able to convert more than 4-6% of people who come to your landing page. That could be true but you wouldn’t know it unless you keep testing and optimizing every aspect of your website. Web Design for ROI is a great book that teaches you exactly how to design your website to increase your ROI and get the biggest bang out of each click.

Web Design for ROI: Turning Browsers into Buyers & Prospects into Leads brings to light what many companies have been doing wrong for years. Quite frankly, a lot of large corporations used to not worry too much about optimizing their landing pages. After all, if you have a lot of money, you may want to just throw it at your problems to solve them. But as the economy has hit us hard, a lot of big corporations are now changing their ways. These companies are now learning from their mistakes and wish they had paid more attention to the testing process. This book covers every area that you need to pay attention to to increase your ROI. Here are some of the concepts you should pay extra attention to:

  • Mistakes: the common mistakes made by marketers and how you can avoid them.
  • Landing pages: how to optimize your landing pages and increase your conversion rates by 3-5%.
  • Home pages: how not to treat your home page and get the best out of your home page traffic.
  • Category pages: ways to design your category pages to let your visitors navigate through your pages.
  • Forms: how to design forms like a pro without turning off your visitors.
  • Checkout process: increasing your checkout conversion rate is an art. You are going to learn exactly how to optimize your checkout process and make it easier for your visitors to buy from you.

It’s one thing to know web design. It’s another thing to know how to optimize a page for a better conversion rate. Web Design for ROI provides you with all the tips you need to make the transition from a good web designer to a great web designer who knows how to design pages with visitors’ needs in mind. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to get into the business of web design and landing page optimization.

CopyNProfit Review: Build Profitable PPC Campaigns Fast
icon1 Posted by in Reviews on 04 1st, 2009 | 1 Comment

Recently, I had a chance to review CopyNProfit to see whether all the hype was justified. If you are not familiar with the product, CopyNProfit is a pay per click solution that helps you set up your pay per click campaigns fast. These guys have taken the guess work out of the process. They literally share with you the campaigns that they have used to make a killing online. That way you won’t have a blueprint to follow. You’ll have the whole thing. Plug & Play.

I was impressed with the wealth of content available through this program. The guys behind CopyNProfit have gone out of their way to make sure you see everything they are doing to prepare their campaigns. Here is what you get:

  • Campaigns: all you have to do is pick a niche or keyword that you want to get started with. You get access to 37+ niches that you can choose based on popularity or supply/demand ratio. These guys have everything you need to get your campaign fast in any niche. They even provide you with data, so you know you are not taking a leap of faith. You can copy campaigns to your own PPC accounts fast with the templates available in this program.
  • Ad Creator: with Copy & Profit, you get access to Ad Creator which makes it so easy to develop multiple ads on the fly. Remember, you are going to have to test things for yourself to make sure you increase your conversion and click through rates.
  • Forum Marketing: if you want to make more money from your affiliate campaigns, you can always use forums to build links and drive traffic to your website. With this software, you can just find the top keywords and use them to drive free traffic through forums.
  • Article Marketing: similar to forum marketing, you can increase your commission check by using your profitable keywords on your articles.

This is one innovative way to outsource your pay per click marketing campaigns. Sure. You’ll be managing your own campaigns, but these guy are doing the testing and niche research for you.  And they provide you with so much content to absorb that you are going to become a super PPC guru by the time you are done with this package. I was personally impressed by the niche list and the campaigns that you get with PlugNPlay.

PlugNPlay is not for everyone. First of all, there is a lot to go over. You are going to be bombarded with videos, campaign samples, tools, and everything in between. Secondly, you are going to have want to make money from pay per click marketing. Pay per click marketing is not for folks who are afraid of spending money online. But if you are already using pay per click to make money online, you are going to enjoy using CopyNProfit.

Making Money With PPC?
icon1 Posted by in Thoughts on 02 10th, 2009 | No Comments

I don’t know about you, but I have been in the pay per click marketing industry for years. And obviously, I must have been doing something right for not having gone bankrupt in all these years. What surprises me is when the so called superstars come out and claim, “it is proven NOW that you can make money with PPC.” Huh? That’s just a silly statement. Of course you can make money from pay per click marketing. A lot of folks are doing it on a daily basis. It’s also true that a lot of folks are burning cash everyday. But to come out and claim that it’s something new is plain stupid.

You can make money with pay per click. But you need to be diligent about your process. You need to test your landing pages to death to increase your conversion rates. You need to find products that actually sell online, and you need to think big. If you spend $1000 a month online, there is so much money you can earn. But if you spend $20,000 a week on the right offer, your earnings may go through the roof.

Earning money from PPC is possible. You just have to be careful not to burn yourself in the process. And you won’t need a guru training course to start making it.
